2026 Para National League Gets Underway in Cork

The 2026 Para National League got underway over the weekend as part of the John Shanahan TTT hosted by Midleton CTC.

Cork rider Cormac O’Callaghan, riding with O’Leary Stone Kanturk took the top spot with an impressive ride in the Solo category, with Ciaran Kelly taking the win in the Junior category.

Two riders entered on hand cycles, as Ray Murnane took the win over Seamus Wall.

Six tandems took to the start line, with Para Development rider Ciaran O’Toole, piloted by Marcin Mizgajski, taking the win. Ben Cussen and pilot Richard Barry took second, with Sinead Greenan and her pilot, Claire Ní Reachtagain finishing third.

Round 2 of the National League takes place in Corkagh Park in Dublin on April 19th, and will feature a TT and Road Race. A Come And Try Para Cycling event will also run alongside racing at Round 2, with more details to come soon.
