It was running initially that led Annah to the world of endurance sport, she quickly became hooked on triathlon and was almost instantly a successful age group athlete, she earned multiple wins and podium finishes in numerous events as an agegroup athlete and finished 3rd in her agegroup at the IRONMAN World Championships in 2015.
She took the plunge to the professional ranks in 2016 and has enjoyed much success against some of the best athletes in the world. 2019 was a superb year for Annah, winning the IM 70.3 South Africa and taking 3rd place at IRONMAN South Africa later in the year, which secured her place to race in Kona as a professional athlete. Annah finished in the top 20 at the Ironman World Championships in 2019 which was the highest position of the female South African athlete on the day something that she is immensely proud of.
Annah’s success comes off the back of managing a busy life in finance and in sport, finding the balance to both is key to her success. She is by her own admission disciplined, but she is also determined and dedicated to both of her careers. Her positivity and resilience in the face of adversity coupled with her passion to succeed and be the very best she can be, sees her live her life with gratitude and humility for the opportunities she has both forged for herself and been given in life.
