Inglis Wins eSports National Championship

The 2026 eSports National Championship took place on Saturday, 31st of January, hosted Racing Without Boarders. The virtual event is the second National Championship of the year, following the successful Cyclo-cross National Championship earlier this month.

The National Championship consisted of two races – a sprint race and a mountaintop championship finish.

A strong performance from Ian Inglis, racing for RWB eSports, saw him top the podium. Stuart Millar finished second for Primór RWB eSports, and Ben Nancarrow, racing for Dragons, was third overall.

The eSports National Championship comes after the successful conclusion of the 2025/26 Winter Series where close to 150 competitors took part over the 10 rounds.

Sprint Race

First up was the sprint race, where riders had to complete five laps totalling 10km.

Ian Inglis was victorious following a successful campaign in the 2025/26 league where he finished second in the Points Category. Ben Nancarrow was second, and Liam Dunne completed the podium in third.

The race included three Prime Sprints on laps 1, 3 and 5. The second Prime was worth double points, and the third worth triple points.

Stuart Millar was first across the line in the first of the Primes, getting 100 points on the board early one. He was closely followed by Ben Nancarrow was second and Ian Ingis third. Millar had to settle over fourth overall.

Inglis was victorious in the second and third Primes. The second Prime Nancarrow was second, and Millar was third. The leaderboard changed somewhat after the third and final Prime when Liam Dunne finished second behind Inglis and Colin Clavin was third.

Mountaintop Championship Finish

The second race moved to Innsbruck for a full endurance and climbing test, covering 13km. Innsbruck Sprint Reverse sprint with some rollers, then down the ‘Leg Snapper’ and a decisive summit finish over Innsbruck KOM Reverse ensure a complete physiological test at national level.

Roch Morgan topped the Points Rankings in the Mountaintop Race with 200 points. Millar was second, adding 140 points and Inglis was third, adding 100 to his tally.

Strong performances from Cal Tutty and Vinney O’Leary saw them score 60 and 40 points respectively.
