Jumping right in and embracing life as a professional triathlete she has already proven herself as one to watch. Her debut IRONMAN in Australia saw her take 4th place with a sub-nine-hour finish in a time of eight hours fifty-three minutes on the back of her podium finishes in Staffordshire, Finland and Weymouth IM 70.3 races and a 16th place finish at the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships in Nice last year. The ETU Elite Middle Distance Champion of 2019 added a British National Cycling title to her trophy cabinet last week winning the 100 mile TT in a time of 3:55:22. With a positive can-do attitude, her passion for her profession as both an athlete and physiotherapist shine through in this episode. She has set some lofty goals for herself in the past and exceeded them, her goals for 2021 and beyond are well within her reach, we can expect to see a lot more from Katrina Matthews in the future.
