The Galway Classic Weekend is back for 2024 a two day cycling festival in East Galway that provides the opportunity for cyclists to enjoy a unique leisure cycling sportif on Saturday or to Race the Classic route on Sunday taking you through the beautiful country lanes and bogs of East Galway.

A combination of off-road sectors on bog roads, farm tracks, boreens, and manor estates, gives riders a true taste of the traditional gritty old northern European professional road races, an experience like none other in the Irish cycling scene.

Ride the Classic – Saturday August 3rd

With two different distances; Rouleur 80km or Puncheur 110km to choose from there is something for everyone to enjoy on this special and unique leisure event, with multiple sectors and a mix of terrain to enjoy along with the post event BBQ its a fun day of cycling guaranteed.

The Galway Classic – Sunday 4th August

The feature race of the festival weekend, Irelands only ‘classics’ style road race provides racing options for  A+, A1, A2, & A3 racers racing across 130km, 100km and 75km respectively.
