Seeding runs got underway on Saturday, Augusts 31^st but following some big crashes, runs were halted for the day. Practice resumed early on Sunday morning, September 1^st, with race runs getting underway at 1pm.

The Men’s Elite category proved to be a tight affair, but Conor Bate came out on top, just 0:00.29 ahead of Jack Crowley, while Joel Hamilton rounded out the podium.

Less than two seconds separated the top 3 in the Female Elite race. Blaithin Sweeny took the top spot with Lilian Tobin slotting in second, ahead of 2024 Downhill National Champion Leah Maunsell.

Current Irish U19 National Champion Alex Hickey took the win by almost three seconds in the Junior Men’s category. Hickey was joined on the podium by Ruairí Steele and Conor Cartwright in second and third respectively.

Heitor Severo took the win the Male: Sport category by less than a second over Steven Nash in second place. Ryan Robinson came in third.

GAP rider Ross McGowan won the Male 13 – 14 bracket, beating Theo Stephenson in second and current U14 National Champion Diarmuid O’Sealbhaigh, coming off a very impressive sixth place at the UEC European Championships.

Darragh Ryan from Biking.ie Trek Crew took top spot in the Male: 15-16 category, beating Kyle Murray in second and Michal Michniacki in third.

Local rider Caolan Sammon got his first win at his home track in the Male: 19-29 category. Josh Mackrel took second place, while Biking.ie Trek Crew rider Isaac Scott was back on the podium in third having had an injury riddled season up until this point.

The M30 category win was taken by Steven Smyth, followed by James MacFerran in second and Ben Halbert in third.

Ian Coates continued his strong season with a first place finish in the M40 category. Coates was joined on the podium by Philip Mullan and Colm Bradley in second and third respectively.

Mark Byrne took the win in the M50 class, with Ken Kelly coming in second just ahead of Paul McCusker in third.

The Female Open category was won by Lucy Legge. Marie Farrell took second spot and Anna Walsh rounded out the podium.
