Hosted by Down Triathlon Club, the Beyond the Wall Triathlon took place on Sunday, 30th of June as part of the Triathlon National Series, attracting just under 300 athletes to race on the scenic grounds of Castle Ward Estate, in County Down.

The sprint triathlon is set on the shores of Strangford Lough, with athletes navigating a single 750 metre swim lap in Stangford Bay. Following the swim, the athletes transitioned to the cycle leg of the race which covered a route stretching from Strangford to Downpatrick through the scenic countryside. The final leg of the triathlon was a 5km run weaving through Castle Ward Estate’s trails taking in the scenic grounds & Strangford Lough views.
