Chloe MacCombe, and her guide Aoibh Clarke, continued their medal success with a bronze medal performance in the Women’s PTVI 2025 World Triathlon Para Series Devonport over the weekend. The duo produced the fastest run split of the PTVI category in hot conditions to secure the final spot on the podium.

Paris Paralympic PTVI Champion Susana Rodriguez was the eventual winner, with 23 year old Maggie Sandles of Australia claiming silver for her first podium of the year.

Meanwhile in the Women’s Elite race at the 2025 Oceania Triathlon Championships Devonport Emma O’Brien was in action for Ireland, finishing in 14th position over the Olympic distance course. O’Brien left the water to join the 3rd group on the bike. She completed the 10k run in just over 40 minutes to finish in 14th overall. Richelle Hill (AUS), the World U23 champion in duathlon, was the overall winner and secured a maiden Oceania title in the process.

O’Brien was also 6th (4th Elite) in the recent 2XU Triathlon Series 24/25 – Race 5 Elwood, which was also the Australian National Sprint Championships.

Next weekend sees James Edgar return for the 2025 edition of the Indoor Triathlon World Cup in Liévin, France.

The indoor event features a 200 metre pool swim, 2.8km cycle followed by a 1km run around the venue hosting 5,000 spectators. Athletes will compete across Heats (Repechage), Semi-Finals, and Finals.
