The 2023 Downhill National Series (Irish Downhill Mountain Bike Series) is set to kick off on May 27th and 28th.

The mountain biking discipline is among the fastest growing in the sport with the fast and furious nature making for a thrilling spectator experience, with the country’s top Downhill mountain bike riders will compete in the series in 2023, which will be held over three rounds.
The first round, hosted by Gravity Bike Club, brings riders to Carrick Mountain in Glenealy, Co. Wicklow on May 27th and 28th.
A regular venue on the Irish downhill scene, Carrick is known for being one of the longer tracks in the series with a mix of high-speed sections linking up big jumps and technical challenges.
In Round Two, the focus switches to Shronaboy Farm, near Killarney in Co. Kerry, as Tralee Bay MTB and Killarney Cycling Club co-host on June 5th and 6th.
The final round takes place in Bree, Co. Wexford as Bree Racing brings the curtain down on the series on the weekend of September 9th and 10th.

Riders will race for points in an overall series, with races taking place across several categories ranging from U14 and U16 boys to junior, sports, senior and elite men, women and masters men categories M30, M40 and M50.
