Following the success of Irish athletes competing internationally this season, including at the Paralympic Games in Paris and at the UCI Road and Para-cycling World Championships, Cycling Ireland has opened expressions of interest for athletes interested in joining the programme working towards the 2028 LA Paralympics.
Cycling Ireland is looking for new athletes, aged 14 or older with a physical disability, and with ambitions to represent Ireland at the next Paralympic Games.

Para-cycling includes individuals with various disabilities, such as:

Road Cycling
Road cyclists compete using specialized equipment based on their condition:
- Handcycles
- Trikes
- Tandem Bikes
- Regular Bikes
Track Cycling
On the track, cyclists compete using either:
- Tandem Bikes
- Regular Bikes
