Cycling Ireland is calling on tandem pilots, male and female, to pair with visually impaired athletes and support them on the road to international competition.
If you have in-depth knowledge and experience of cycling and would like to assist and help a visually impaired athlete on their journey, this could be for you. If you have been inspired by the performances of Irish tandems on the World Stage, again this could be for you! We are inviting applicants to express their interest to pilot riders at multiple stages along our pathway, from beginner right up to elite level.
The survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Minimum age 18 yrs old. This survey will ask you for basic demographic information about yourself such as name, age, address etc. along with a detailed reflection on your sporting history to date. It will also look to identify power numbers within specific ranges to allow us assess physical capabilities. Any questions in relation to the form can be directed to jamie.blanchfield@cyclingireland.ie.
The survey closes on Wednesday 23rd of July.
Successful applicants will be invited to a testing and information day on July 30th.
