Last Friday saw the final round of the 2025/26 eSports Winter Series, hosted by Racing Without Borders. The ten round series saw just shy of 150 competitors take part, racing from the comfort of their own homes using Zwift.
Lucan’s Ronan Killeen took the top spot on the Category A, both on General Classification and in the Points Competition. Dungarvan’s Tony Kenneally took second on GC ahead of Colin Clavin, riding for Streamstown CC. Kenneally took third in the Points Competition behind Killeen in first and Ian Inglis in second.

This year’s National Championships, set for this Saturday January 31st, will be broken into two races. The first will see riders take on five laps of the Bell Lap route, taking roughly 10-12 minutes. There will be points up for grabs in sprints on Laps 1, 3 and 5.
Race 2 will be 12.5km long but with 480m elevation, mostly coming in the second half of the course, the Innsbruck Conti Route will test even the best climbers.
Last year’s National Champion Richard Barry will not be present this year, but with strong performances in the Winter Series from Colin Clavin and Ian Inglis, and the ever dangerous Cal Tutty, Saturday’s racing is sure to be tight.
The Technical Guide for this year’s event is available HERE.
Both races will be broadcast live on the Cycling Ireland YouTube channel, with the first race getting underway at 10.30, and the second race getting underway immediately after at roughly 10.50.
