Four Irish Swimmers at LEN Open Water Cup Piombino

Four swimmers who competed at the LEN Open Water Cup in Piombino this morning.
In tough conditions, with wetsuits not allowed due to a temperature of 18 degrees and a large number of DNFs (Men 66% completed, Women 55% completed), they ranked as follows:
Ella Carroll 22nd 2:21.39
Denis O’Brien 48th 2:13.18
Ronan Fahey 49th 2:18.04
Sean Donnellan DNF
All four have gained valuable experience to take into the LEN European Junior Open Water Swimming Championships later this Summer.
