The Galway Classic Weekend is back for 2025 a two day cycling festival in East Galway that provides the opportunity for cyclists to enjoy a unique adventure sportif on Saturday or to Race the Classic route on Sunday taking you through a myriad of country lanes, bogs, boreens, farmland, track and trails of East Galway. Providing off-road cycling enthusiasts a true taste of the traditional gritty old northern European professional road races, this is a cycling experience like none other in the Irish cycling scene.
Ride the Gravel Classic – Saturday 15th March
With two different distances to choose from 80km or 50k to choose from there is something for everyone to enjoy on this adrenaline fuelled adventure with multiple sectors and a mix of terrain to enjoy all priced at a very reasonable €20 entry fee aimed at encouraging people to take the opportunity to embrace some off road riding.
The Galway Classic – Sunday 16th March
The feature race of the festival weekend, Irelands only ‘classics’ style road race provides racing across 125km, 95km and 63km for C1/2/3 racers respectively . Part of the National Race calendar for this year the race offer ship timing and top 20 placings in each C1/2/3 race.
