Ireland Compete at Challenge International de Geneve

ByEmma Porter |

A strong team of 29 swimmers will get their 2023 Long Course season underway representing Swim Ireland at the 56th Edition of the Challenge International de Genéve in Geneva, Switzerland. The event will take place from Friday, 20th to Sunday 22nd January in the Piscine des Vernets Swimming Complex.

The team will be led by National Performance Pathway Manager, Andrew Reid, he said: “The Performance Pathway Programme and P28 athletes travel to the 56th Edition of the Challenge International de Geneve taking place from 20th to 22nd January 2023. We last competed in this meet in January 2020 and it provides a fantastic opportunity for our junior athletes to gain some valuable international long-course racing and to refine their race craft (application of skills, tactics, self-management) early in the cycle. They all have their own goals for the meet and as a coaching team we will focus on supporting them to achieve these.”
