The Shane’s Castle Estate is a spectacular arena for a triathlon and the Legend Of The Lough Triathlon will be the first-ever event of its kind across the Island of Ireland!

The 750m swim will take place in the calm waters of Lough Neagh, in the shadow of Shane’s Castle. The closed-road flat and fast bike course, measuring circa 20km, will be two loops around the stone, gravel, and paved farm lanes of Shane’s Castle estate, traversing two of Ireland’s oldest two largest rubble masonry bridges, Dunmore and Deerpark. Only suitable for bikes equipped with off-road tyres. The 5k run is out and back on a paved lane towards Antrim Castle, finishing within the main Shane’s Castle ruins.
