McSharry Double Podiums at TYR Pro Swim Series

The 2024 TYR Pro Swim Series took place in Knoxville, Tennessee, over the weekend with two Irish swimmers in action.

Representing the University of Tennessee, Mona McSharry clocked 1:06.23 in the 100 Breast Final to finish in second place. Current World Record holder Lilly King took the top spot on the podium in 1:05.67.

McSharry was back in action for the 200 Breast later in the competition, this time claiming a bronze medal. Kate Douglass took the top spot on the podium with a new American Record, while Lilly King touched in second.

Also in action was Grace Hodgins, representing the Sarasota Sharks, who swam 16:57.97to finish 8th in the 1500 Freestyle, and 10th in the 800 Freestyle in 8:56.84. Both events were won by their World Record holder Katie Ledecky, who swam 15:38.81 and 8:14.97.

World Deaf Youth Games

Three swimmers are in action in São Paulo, Brazil, competing at the 2024 World Deaf Youth Games, from the 15th to the 22nd of January.
