Team RWB has announced they are now affiliated with Cycling Ireland, the first virtual racing club to be affiliated with the Irish National Cycling Federation. In a progressive partnership with both Team RWB and Cycling Ireland this will provide lots of benefits and opportunities to those who join the official Team RWB Virtual Cycling Club.

Speaking about the affiliation Richie Sheerin of Team RWB said “Becoming a member of the club will allow us to give our riders the top level service we have already been providing but will also allow us to really progress as a club. It’s an exciting time to be part of Team RWB as one of the biggest online racing communities in the world this will provide the platform for us to increase active participation in cycling and in virtual racing which has really exploded over the past year or so. Virtual racing is the future and we can now run Cycling Ireland sanctioned events which will be on the official C.I Calendar. ”

A spokesperson for Cycling Ireland said “Cycling Ireland is pleased to welcome Team RWB as the first virtual cycling club to affiliate to the National Governing Body. eRacing has rapidly grown in popularly and the trend is expected to continue with the proliferation of virtual events and addition of the UCI eCycling World Championships. Team RWB provide racing and training opportunities for cyclists of all abilities and continue to contribute to the growth and development of this exciting aspect of the sport.”
