Paris 2024 Olympic Games Finalist Ellen Walshe is back in the pool and back breaking records over the weekend.

Templeogue’s Walshe has set a new Irish Senior Record in the 100m Individual Medley at the Ulster Short Course Championships. Ellen’s time of 59.30 knocks .05 off Mona McSharry’s 2021 record of 59.35.

Meanwhile, at the Munster Short Course Championships, National Centre Limerick’s John Shortt swam an impressive 1:52.62, breaking his own 2023 200m Backstroke Irish Senior and Junior Record of 1:54.02, having broken the 100m Backstroke Irish Junior Record just weeks ago.
