The Road National Series rolls on this weekend as riders bid to take one of the final opportunities to fine-tune preparations ahead of the Road National Championships later this month.
Navan Road Club play host to the Sean Nolan Meath Grand Prix and Rás na Mí as part of round four of the Road National Series on Sunday, June 9th.
A key round in deciding the outcome of the 2024 National Series overall categories, plenty of riders will have high hopes as they take to the start line in what has been one of the marquee road race events in Ireland over recent seasons.

Date & Location
Round Four of the Road National Series takes place on Sunday, June 9th, from Wilkinstown, Co. Meath.
The Race HQ is located at Wilkinstown Community Centre, Eircode: C15 V123. Sign on opens at 9.30am.
Schedule
Sean Nolan Meath Grand Prix (A1/A2 Race) – 11:30am (Est. Finish at 2:55pm)
Rás na Mí (Women’s Race) – 12:25pm (Est. Finish at 2:37pm)

Youth Road National Series Round One Preview
The 2024 Youth Road National Series Demonstration event kicks off on Saturday, June 8th, as Navan Road Club host the opening round.
Following the establishment of a Cycling Ireland Youth Working Group in 2024, and with the assistance of the High-Performance Unit (HPU), the 2024 series will take place over three rounds across June and July.
The series will feature U16 racing solely. Separate races will take place for Boys and Girls. The Meath Grand Prix Youths however will feature non-National Series races across the U12 and U14 categories.

The Race HQ is located at Bective GAA Club, Eircode: C15TC59. Sign on opens at 9.30am.
Schedule
10:15am – U12 Race
- Boys & Girls combined, Separate prizes.
- (2 laps), 10km
- Prizegiving for U12 races will take place at the finish line area ASAP after races finish.
10:45am – U16 Girls Race, YNS
- 6 laps 34.8km
- 2 x Intermediate Sprints on laps 2 & 4 on the finish line.
10:48am – U14 Girls Race
- 3 laps, 16.8km
- *No Intermediate Sprints
- *U14 Girls must stop riding when their race finishes
- 12:30 Prizegiving takes place at the finish line area.
12:15pm – U16 Boys Race, YNS
- 8 laps 46.4km
- 3 x Intermediate Sprints on laps 2, 4, & 6 on the finish line.
12:18pm – U14 Boys Race
- 3 laps, 16.8km
- *No Intermediate Sprints
- *U14s must stop riding when their race finishes
13:45pm – All racing expected to be finished.
