We are delighted to team up with Jillian Mooney, Performance Nutritionist with Team Joe Barr to deliver this female specific session on Wednesday 2nd March from 7-8:30pm.
More and more female cyclists are taking to the road, gravel and the indoor trainer, from joining a cycling club to participating in a sportive, gravel or endurance event or an an indoor ZWIFT league. Typical nutrition strategies are not usually designed for the female metabolism, which is significantly impacted by hormonal shifts throughout our life cycle.
In this session Jill will cover general nutrition, recovery and on-bike fuelling as well as common errors and how to avoid them. She will address the unique metabolic and hormonal challenges female cyclists face when seeking to create their best performances. When you understand the intricacies of the female metabolism, you’ll be in a much stronger place to implement nutrition and fuelling strategies that support your goals.
You’ll train, adapt and recover more effectively, all whilst building your overall wellbeing and nutritional resilience, and you’ll be able to purposefully work with your metabolism to utilise more body fat as energy rather than working against it.
