Tri-Team Ireland: European & World Duathlon Championships

2025 European Sprint & Standard Distance Duathlon Championships | Rumia Poland

Next week, 12 Age Group athletes will take to the international stage to represent Ireland in Rumia, Poland for the European Duathlon Championships. The event will kick off on April 26th, featuring standard distance races (10 km running, 40 km cycling, 5 km running) and sprint distance races (5 km running, 20 km cycling, 2.5 km running).

2025 World Triathlon Powerman Middle Distance Duathlon Championships | Alsdorf Germany

On the 27th of April, five Irish duathletes will compete in Germany, representing Ireland across the elite and age group events. Current National Duathlon Champion Niall Cornyn will compete in the Elite Men’s race after a successful duathlon season racing nationally. Cornyn currently holds the lead in the Triathlon Ireland Duathlon National Series, with one round remaining to secure the title.

The course features a 10km run, followed by a 60km bike and concluding with a 10km run.
