Triathlon Ireland will be hosting a National Youth and Junior Talent ID Day across Munster, Leinster, Connacht, and Ulster in October (Specific dates can be found below). The Talent ID Day is a trial event for all those who wish to join the Triathlon Ireland National Youth and Junior Squads, and represent Ireland internationally.

This is open to athletes aged between 14-15 and 16-19. Your age category is determined by your age on the 31st of December 2023.

Athletes aged between 14-15 will complete a 200m swim time trial and a 1500m run time trial.

Those aged between 16-19 will complete a 400m swim time trial and a 3000m run time-trial.

Based on the world-class standards found on the Triathlon Ireland website HERE, athletes who achieve 150 points will be invited onto the National Squad and athletes who achieve 130-149 points will be invited onto the Horizon Squad.
