Ellen Walshe had an impressive morning in Rome at the Sette Colli Meet securing places in both the 100m Butterfly and 400m Individual Medley A Finals, as she continued her preparations towards Paris.
Walshe was first in the pool on Saturday morning clocking 59.80 in the 100m Butterfly for eighth place overall. An hour later, the Templeogue swimmer was back for the 400m Individual Medley, where she was second in her heat in 4:44.95, advancing in fifth place to the Final.,
In the 50m Breaststroke Darragh Greene secured a place in the B Final with a time of 28.15, that saw him 12th overall.
Victoria Catterson was quickest of the two Irish entries in the 100m Freestyle touching in 56.50, with Erin Riordan home in 57.80.
This evening, Walshe and Greene will be joined by Daniel Wiffen as he swims the fastest heat of the 800m Freestyle.
