Wilson and O’Brien Claim Triathlon Ireland National Duathlon Series Wins

Ciara Wilson of 3D Tri Club was the clear winner of the Women’s Triathlon Ireland National Duathlon Series with; with a strong 3rd place in the Galco Naas Duathlon and two decisive wins at the Phoenix Park Duathlon (National Championships worth extra points), the Louth’s Setanta Duathlon, to seal her title.

Megan Roberts of Piranha Tri Club took 2nd overall in the series rankings with a 3rd place finish in the National Championships in Phoenix Park combined with two wins at the Athy Flat Out Duathlon and Galco Naas Duathlon. Emma Boyle from Predator Tri Club rounded out the series podium with a 5th at the Phoenix Park National Championships, a win at the Limerick Duathlon, and a 2nd place at Tri Lakes Knockma Duathlon.

In the Men’s Series, Anthony O’Brien of Piranha Tri Club dominated the rankings with three wins including Park National Championships, Athy Flat Out Duathlon, and SERE Lisburn Duathlon.

Enda Bagnall of Eden Tri Club claimed 2nd overall in the series, with a 3rd place at the National Championships in Phoenix Park, a win at Metalman Dungarvan Duathlon, and a 2nd place at the Tramore Medical Clinic Tramore Duathlon. The final spot on the series podium went to James Graham of Peninsula Tri Club who finished 4th at the Phoenix Park National Championships, as well as winning one of the Setanta Duathlon Series races, and finishing 2nd in the SERE Lisburn Duathlon.
